Jody's Review of "Endless Ocean"
___________________________________________
This game is already out and has been out for a long time. this is not really a "game" more of a more of a simalation. Endless Ocean places the player in the role of a scuba diver exploring the Manaurai (Manoa Lai) sea in search of sea life and sunken treasure under the guidance of an assistant named Catherine Sunday. In the sea, they will encounter a number of marine species ranging from smaller fish and penguins to massive whale sharks, manta rays and humpback whales. The range of marine wildlife in the game is extensive and includes many common and rare species. The player will also encounter dolphins and other cetaceans that can be trained to perform certain tricks and become companions on dives. Species such as sharks are also present; however, they pose no threat to the player. The player also has access to a large aquarium that they can populate with species they have identified. The sea's various locations providing a means for the player to experience general diving, cave diving, deep-water trench exploration, wreck diving, and other activities that might not otherwise be possible in a single real world setting. The game is controlled solely using the Wii Remote, with the player using an on-screen cursor to guide their diver. The game features Wi-Fi play over the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, allowing two players to dive together. Arika, the game's developer, previously released the games Everblue and Everblue 2 for the PlayStation 2. Both titles featured very similar gameplay to that of Endless Ocean, revolving heavily around scuba diving in search of underwater treasure, as well as underwater photography. The Everblue titles are both played from a first person perspective, while Endless Ocean uses both first person and third person perspectives for movement.

1.Presentation- almost 90% of the game takes place underwater and the other 10% is on a boat to get your mission like find a fish or to explore a cave or finds some lost treasure. being on the ship is not that great but as soon as you dive in its like really being underwater. this game is very relaxing and helps take away the stress that you might have overall this has a great presentation 9.0

2.Graphics- SUPER GRAPHICS!!! that is all i have to say! 10!

3. Sound- another game with no voice acting. the music is good also. there also is sounds for the underwater and on the boat. there are a few sounds that are annoying but you do not here it alot for you to turn the sound off. 9.2

4. Gameplay- this a very easy game almost too easy. Some weird control choices but they work. the relaxed play at your own speed is good. this is a new game to nintendo the others being on the PS2. good game play none the less. 8.9

5. Lasting Appeal- it takes a loooooooooong time to explore every foot of the ocean and see every fish and shark there is too see so it will take a long time to get 100% explored however gameplay is a little to easy but still a good game worth what u pay for it 9.3

Presentation- 9.0
Graphics- 10
Sound- 9.2
Gameplay- 8.9
Lasting Appeal- 9.3
OVERALL SCORE-9.28

I've heard good things about this game...especially how you catalog hundreds(maybe thousands) of fish, and are even able to befriend some of them....it seems really cool.

Oh, and I've heard online is great, too.

With TGS almost wrapped up, the Wii received more announcements than Ravi Drums can shake his Wii Remotes at. For starters, the October conference announced such titles as Punch- Out Wii, a staple installment in the popular boxing franchise amongst classic Nintendo fans, in addition to 3rd-party support such as Sin and Punishment 2, Trace Memory 2, Klonoa, Endless Ocean 2, and even many DS titles ranging from Warioware, a Phoenix Wright entry starring Edgeworth as the main character, all the way as to announcing a new DS remodel and Cave Story on the Wiiware service.
there you go jody, are you exicted now? Cool
