PostSubject: The Best Season   Wed Jan 14, 2009 12:17 pm

Where to begin talking about Yugioh...... I guess I could start by saying the the cartoon has went down the drain after Yugi was no longer the main character. Why continue a show after the main character is gone? That is like playing a Mario game but you're playing as some weird character that is trying to be Mario. (I guess that is a little bit off topic) Yu gi oh was always my favorite anime as a kid. The show was great, the cards that I collected were great, even the games for the gameboy were great. To top it all off the one and only movie that us in America got to see was even better. So what happened to it? Well the easy answer to the question was to stop making the show after Yu gi was not in it any more. The first Yu gi oh was made up of 224 episodes and broken up into mini seasons as seen below

Duelist Kingdom Arc (US Season 1)
ep 1-49

Battle City (US Season 2) longest
50-97 and 122-144

Noah's Arc (US Season 3)
98-121

Doma (US Season 4)
145-184

KC Grand Championship (US Season 5) shortest
185-198

Pharaoh's Memories (US Season 6)
199-224

AlsoI found out that before the first season, Japan had a season that was made up of 27 episode that was not needed, but did tell the back story as to how the events started. It is easy to see why I enjoyed Yugioh so much, and why Yu gi oh was the best season and not the gx or the new 5D one. To end this post here is the last episode perfectly titled the last duel, and a video of all the theme songs that were also great.

my favorite was 2 and 3 my least favorite was 5 it had no point nobody was in danger the world was not going to end nothing

(yu gi oh review)

to fully review this show would take forever but i will make it as short as possible. to give a little background the main character yu gi, was given a puzzle by his grandfather. yu gi solves the puzzle and awakens the spirit that lived in the puzzle. in doing that the spirit now lives inside yu gi and at the time yu gi does not know this. the spirit helps little yu gi in duel monster the card game. then yu gi is challenged by many tough duelist that test his might. one person was able to take some thing very valuable his grandfather's soul! the only way to get it back was to travel to duelist kingdom island and win in a tournament. and he does. as the story continues it adds a little bit of true Egyptian history to the story. this was when the story was really good. it turns out the the spirit of the puzzle was a Pharaoh of Egypt thousands of years ago but he could not remember if he was a great or evil ruler. throughout the story pharaoh learns more and more about his past and finally ending with his spirit able to rest in peace after finding out his true past.
