PostSubject: Vanguard Princess   Thu Jul 09, 2009 8:20 am

If you're a fan of 2D fighting games, the only thing you really need to know is that Vanguard Princess is free and you can download it here.

Released just this past Tuesday, Vanguard Princess really flew in under the radar, especially with the admittedly badass looking BlazBlu being released the same week. The game features an all female cast, which means there are plenty of cute anime girls to choose from. In all, there are 11 playable characters and 4 assist characters. From what I've seen, the actual mechanics of the game look pretty old school, with the assists as the only real stray from tradition. Online multiplayer is apparently in the works, but I'm not entirely sure how you would access that feature.

Footage!

The game is gorgeous by any standards, but considering this was all done by (supposed) ex-Capcom employee Tomoaki Sugeno, you've really got to appreciate just how great the animation and character detail looks in Vanguard Princess. Again, this game is 100% FREE!

Specs:
Operating System?Microsoft - Windows 98/Me/2000/XP
CPU Pentium III
400MHz
Memory 128MB
HDD 400MB Free Space,DirectX 7 required

Even this guy thinks Vanguard Princess kicks so much ass.

Talk about fanservice, this game knows how to deliver haha! Either way, it looks interesting. May have to give it a go sometime.
